Vendor Biography

While I was young my grandmother taught me how to knit, crochet and weave.  From there I went on to discover spinning, hand dyeing and needle felting.  I am always looking for new uses for the wool from our family farm including  needled animals, hand woven rugs and chair pads, and bird nesting balls.

Since 2004 I have taken workshops on spinning, needle felting, water felting, braiding rugs with wool roving, weaving and natural wool dyeing.

I am a juried artisan at Tamarack The Best of West Virginia and Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center.

I have taught several workshops at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair in Asheville, North Carolina, the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival, the West Virginia Fiber Festival and demonstrations at the West Virginia State Fair.
