Vendor Biography

I was taught to crochet and knit as a young girl by her grandmother.  In the mid 1980s I learned to spin and weave.  I have spun just about every fiber available to spinners.  In 1991 I moved up to Northern California in the Sierra foothills outside of Placerville, where I enlarged my love of fiber to include a flock of sheep, a horse and llama and some geese and chickens.  I also started selling the fiber from my flock on eBay and at fiber shows shortly after getting my first clip of wool.  I have since moved to Oregon taking my animals with me.  That was in 2005 and I quit breeding then and decided to let my flock slowly pass on so I could retire from raising livestock.  In 2017 my last sheep passed on at an age of 16 and a half years old.  I have a small craft shop now on our property and it is open by appointment only due to my husband’s failing health.  I specialize in spinning fibers of all fiber animals and different breeds of sheep and in handspun yarns and fiber equipment.
